Only have myself a copy of Further. As has been said here it's a great album, and I'd like to get more of their work.

always thought it was interesting that the first song on all of their full lengths was essentially the same song but slightly different. that drone that moves a half step....

I have some live stuff--there was some live stuff recently released on VHF, but it may be out of print already. Dave Pearce also collaborated recently with Jessica Bailiff--their band is called Clear Horizon and it's much better than the last FSA album.

I also like the various other bands that are related to FSA, such as Movietone, AMP and Crescent.

Hooray for Bristol bands! Hooray for Bristol bands that aren't Massive Attack or Portishead (who aren't from Bristol)! Although I don't really like FSA, one has to be proud of the locals.

Can't say I'm a fan. I just listened to Mirror a few weeks back and got a facial tic.

You have to hear the first two records.
Total classics of their time. I have all those early LPs and 45s; I loved them at the time and they mostly still sound good to me now. I lost interest after a while (New Lands forward), but I still like what I have. (I think the Tourette's is what is causing your facial tic) |

If I purchase them and dislike them, I will be sure to bill you. I find the random limb-flailing and blasphemous profanity to be more of a problem with the Tourette's, really. The facial tic is often misinterpreted as a flirtatious gesture, and has scored me quite a few phone numbers. |
