There haven't been any threads about them as far as i know so i'm starting one.
I love this band, probably my favourite thing I've got into this year, I have their 7" and will order the LP on siltbreeze as soon as I find a job, I recommend them highly to people who like early Fall and, SY, and trashy strange rock music in general. http://www.myspace.com/teenagepanzerkorpsrules |

do you know if they're an on going thing or is it a sort occaisional project? the impression i got from some website or other was that the material for the siltbreeze LP was from a session recorded 6 years ago. anyway, BUMP! imagine the fall circa dragnet if mark e smith was german. |

The Siltbreeze LP is stuff that was brought together from different CDR releases that weren't really released so much as they were just sorta slipped to certain people and touching off minor blogstorms in the dustiest but most discerning corners of blogosphere, and that was over the course of several months to a full year or so. The band seemed to be sorta secretive about their origins....kinda like how the Wooden Shjips started off, or like the Blank Dogs. And musically, they're right in between those bands. The band members names are all mysterious euphemisms, but if you follow Jewelled Antler Collective stuff, they might be familiar...although their sound is a lot unlike Jewelled Antler stuff. Haven't heard about any tour plans.
Watch their Myspace for more info, I guess...

yeah, when the LP came out i read some stuff that claimed that the band were actual teenagers, but when i heard the stuff on their myspace i thought that there's no way that they're a band of teenagers. from what i gather it's some jewelled antler guys plus a german dude, but who knows? other stuff i've heard from jewelled antler is pretty different to der tpk and has never really floated my boat. |

Thanks, for the tip and the swastikas. Also, one of their friends (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=104 646240) seems promising.

In a similar vein. Better live than on record.
