Awesome Band, Stupid Fucking Name

I was just thinking about Metalux. For the longest time I would hear about them on various zines, everyone singing thier praises of thier unique blend of experimental electronics and swirling guitar driven psychecelic no wave. But the name, Metalux? So generic, thought theyd be some boring ass Noxagt thing (even though I'm a big fan of Bride of No No). Then my friend asked me if I was into them one day, and I said, "No." "Why?", he asked. "Well," I said, "I don't know, there name is stupid." My friend then laughed his ass off and said, "Here, listen to this." He gave me the Metalux III cdr. I was blown away and pissed at myself for being such an anal retentive fool. It's basically everything good about Psychedelic music without any of the nonsense.

I have to take a leak really bad and I don't wanna pee my pants in the middle of the University's computer lab, so I'll add more to this later.

Never paid much attention to a band's name and never let it effect whether I listen to 'em are not. Most are stupid, especially in the noise scene.

One of my all-time favorite bands, took me two years to actually LISTEN TO once I heard of them, cuz their name sucks ass.

Okay, I've been thinking about it, and I think Super Junky Monkey is the worst band name but greatest band ever.

As far as bands with names far better than their music... Sunburned Hand of the Man!

Hell yeah Super Junky Monkey. Japanese Hardcore funk-rap-noise-metal band.

"Lylics".

Forgot to mention that the band broke up because the lead singer jumped off a building, killing herself.

I see nothing wrong with Metalux as a name. Nothing particularly earth shattering, but not everyone can be the Dead Kenny Gs!

I avoided Neutral Milk Hotel for quite some time because of the name. It just sounded lame IMO.
