As much as I love Natural Born Killers, the only remake that makes sense to me is that. Tarantino's script is vastly different. Though I'm sure his version would be terrible, he has bitched for years that Stone ruined it, so why not let him get a crack at it?

Spartacus-- if we could resurrect Kubrick, cuz the hammy Kirk Douglas fucked it and I hate that cheezy movie.

Mostly video game movies are the ones I think of that should be remade.
Alone in the Dark could have been really slick if made in the tone of the original game. In the 20's creepy mansion, Lovecraftian vibes, crafty ingenuity and not just guns blazing all the time. Could have been really neat. Doom might've just been a lost cause but if they got all of that demon imagery back in there, and uh I dunno, less boring, actually go to hell, all that stuff. Might've been pretty interesting. Wing Commander just cries to be remade because those games have such good stories and the movie didn't even convey a fraction of it.

If any one of his pictures had to be remade I guess it'd be that one, even though I like it, I definitely know what you don't like about it, and it's reasonable. But really I'd prefer to leave that as is and just erase Eyes Wide Shut off the planet instead.

I prefer NBK to anything that Tarantino has ever directed. However, I prefer Tarantino to Stone by a long shot. Trey Parker once mentioned doing a modern remake of Cannibal!: The Musical using the same cast and budget, just to see if they could do it again. I can't really think of a film that absolutely needs to be remade though. I'll have to think about that one. |

This is a very good choice. Stone went so overboard with this, and the result is far beyond satire.

Eyes Wide Shut rules.
Natural Born Killers is probably my favorite super-duper-million-dollar-making-mainstream film ever. All those different animated sequences and shit.. so cool, especially the director's cut. |

I read Eyes Wide Shut was originally envisioned to be a sex comedy starring Steve Martin. Apparently The Jerk was one of Kubrick's favorite movies.

A modern, high-budget, action-packed version of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is my prime candidate for a remake I'd like to see. Just imagine how extravagant, and over the top it would be. It honestly sounds amazing to me. There's also been that new Mortal Kombat trailer floating around YouTube lately. I think it's just being shopped around still. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing that in theaters though. |

Because he wrote the movie, and the script is completely different than the movie. And I'd like to see him fall on his face yet again since there's no way he could ever top Stone's film.. |

Every Batman movie except for Batman (1966), Batman (1989), and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
Perhaps they should all just be animated. |
