I hate them both. I hate everything on the radio though, really. Except for Jewel.

I haven't listened to the radio since Gwen Stefani's solo release. So I don't know.

I like pop. Rarely does a song annoy me. The only songs that makes me want to hurt children at the moment is that deplorable "I wish I was a punk rocker" and the song which has plunged the very concept of 'shit' to hitherto unheard of depths, that is, Bollock face and Mary J Bilge's 'one'.

One day sir, one day, you shall wake and realise the beauty that is country. I of course am entitled to say that in a country where country music is a 'specialist music' in stores rather than the norm.

There isn't a current one but, hey, listen to this right. When I did jury service a couple of years ago, they had this wankbucket radio station called Juice FM on all day, and there was a song about not being able to wait for the weekend to come that was played what felt like every other track.
Awful station, awful song.

gack. i live in a hick town in the southwest of the u.s. guess what all the radio stations play? the sound of that phony country twang all singers affect makes me foam at the mouth. i purposefully avoid a very clean and convenient gas station because they pump such auditory vomit through their PA system. i swear, one day i could just snap... |

I can't say I've ever heard any song that makes me wanna kill myself or anyone else (except in some cases, the person who wrote it), but on the subject of radio, some time last year this new radio station popped up in town called "Bob FM". Supposedly this really rich guy named "Bob" buys out stations and plays music from a very wide variety of eras but the thing is that it's all pop music, i.e. 60s=Beatles, the Turtles' "Happy Together" (you haven't heard that song till you've heard it "sung" by a bunch of drunk teenagers on the other side of the wall, but that's another story), occasionally the Rolling Stones; 70s=mainly disco and some stadium rock a la Foreigner and Boston, 80s=synthpop and AOR, Flock of Seagulls, Billy Joel, Hall and Oates; 90s=club techno and jangly guitar pop, Counting Crows, Hootie and the Blowfish, Ace of Base, and a whole lot of one-hit wonders like Chumbawumba's "Tubthumping" and EMF's "Unbelievable"; 00s=whatever's been popular recently, from Green Day to Switchfoot and whomever does that stupid "That's you and me/And all other people, and I don't why/I can't get you out of my mind" song...now, occasionally they/he'll dig up something good, like one time he played Depeche Mode's "Policy Of Truth" (when most radio stations say they'll play Depeche Mode next, it's gonna be "Personal Jesus", not that it's not a awesome song, it's just that DM have other songs too, ya know), or play something that was drilled into yr skull when it was new, but now that some time has passed you can't help but smile with nostalgia when you hear it ("Mr. Jones", anyone?), but for the most part it's like one of my friedns said-it's as if he raided the discount sections of every music store in America!

Well at the place I work they pump the same 20 or 30 songs through the PA system, 24 hours a day. Mostly 1990s pop songs. I've been working at the place for about 5 months now and they haven't changed a single song. I guess this is what hell feels like.

none of them make we want to die, they do however, make me want to kill the people writing and recording and producing and performing them, let alone the people who buy them
