I admit, I only know one song from Fluxblog called "Ex to the Next Girl" and Soulseek isn't being very helpful, but I like what I hear. Anyone else know about/like these guys?

Ooh, ok. Thanks
eta: I know that song! I was just thinking about it randomly in the airport, and it bugged me because I knew a bit of the opening and I liked it but nothing else about it.

His music is in many skate videos. He sounds pretty cool. You should listen to "Born Killer" by Scarface. Now that song is rad!

Gang Starr isn't a him, they're a group, there's two of them. The GURU and DJ Premier. They've put out 3 set in stone classic albums, Step In The Arena, Daily Operation & Hard To Earn, and 2 very good albums, Moment of Truth and The Ownerz, and one good one No More Mr Nice Guy, if you like one of their albums you'll like them all.
I would have thought it would be easy to find Gang Starr on slsk, try doing a room search in the underground hiphop room. |

damn. That's off the Ownerz. I don't have that yet. They're unbelievably consistent. I've been wary of picking up their later stuff, but I dig that track.

I just downloaded Daily Operation yesterday and I absolutely love it. I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorites. I think Moment of Truth is pretty awesome, I really like that Robbin Hood Theory song about robbing people. The whole record definitely has some duds on it though and it's definitely not my favorite that I've heard.
So yeah, Daily Operation and Hard to Earn for me so far. Step In the Arena is also awesome, but I haven't listened to it as much. I'll get there. |
