Who is the best children's author (pre-school).
Sorry if this is a bit specialised, it's sonicl's fault. Poll to follow. |

As you can probably guess, this poll is based on the books I have to read night after night. I meant to use the 10th option for 'other' but I forgot. |

The Mr Fussy is good, because Mr Messy (or something) comes to stay, and the picture of him 'sitting' in Fussy's chair, all out of place, is priceless.

I tried but she doesn't like them! My favourites are ones that are good to read out loud, and that applies to all the ones I listed apart from Charlie & Lola, which is rubbish. I just included Lauren Child because she's one of the most popular children's writers at the moment. Dr. Seuss is the best to read aloud. Try it. |

I agree totally about Dr Seuss. It's fun for the reader as well as the er... readee(?).

Yes, I post from work. I'm at home every Wednesday, so tomorrow we're going for a picnic in the park.
Thanks for the tip. I work in a bookshop, but I'd never heard of Laura Numeroff. I'll have to check them out. |
