Doing it again...
Flaneur Productions is proud to present the fourth annual Heliotrope music exhibition, which aims to bring some of the area's most interesting and exciting musical artists together in a theater setting. The event will take place May 17, 18, and 19th 2007, on the evenings of Northeast's popular Art-A-Whirl weekend. These acts may not all share similar sounds or styles, but they all show a commitment to their craft that intrigues and inspires. For the past three years the festival has taken place at Franklin Art Works, but this year it moves to the newly-renovated majesty of the Ritz Theater in Northeast Minneapolis. We feel this venue is an ideal setting for the event, and we feel its look of arrested decay and its sound and lighting will set the perfect atmosphere. Info Page, more content coming soon... I don't think I'll end up going to that.
I'd rather work. Northeast and those art galleries make me sick.

If it was in London I'd come. Or if I was in MN I'd come - I love the north-east and all those art galleries, they make me feel all fresh and minty.
Just make sure it all gets recorded and shared, yeah? |

There will be audio streams of all sets. Not sure if it will be live or not as yet, but there will be recordings online. Except for Milo Fine, who never lets us record his sets.

I have a hunch one of the bands who is playing is named after someone I grew up with.

Recordings will be online sometime soon.
GREAT time; the best ever. Friday night was especially hugely attended. Total audience stage-storming mayhem funtime during the Skoal Kodiak and White Map blowout at the end. Everybody was really amazing; so many highlights! Skoal Kodiak: Michael Yonkers and the Blind Shake White Map! |
