What are your favourite organs or organ sounds? Mine is the hammond and all its variations, with the pipe organ coming a close second. I have a synth that has a cool combination of hammond/dulcimer, which has a slight out of tune tone that I like a lot.

FARFISA.
Also Fender Rhodes. When not played really poorly. Oh and also Wurlitzers sound pretty fine. |

Whatever the guy from the doors plays--I HATE HATE HATE! I think it might have been a farfisa but they always used that same horrible nasal sound.
Rhodes is a Pie-anno not an organ. |

The only famous organ I've ever got to try was a Hammond. The model had drawbars. It was awesome. I'd never buy a Hammond without drawbars

Hammonds often go so super cheap in good conditions on websites like gumtree. I wish I had more space at home.

I've got a Conn Electric Organ at home. It's in a sad state of repair and I need to get my electronic wizard friend and bandmate to pick it apart and dust of the circuits that are probably drowned in cat hair. The key sounds are o.k. when I want that Kurt Weill dark circusy feel, but what I really love about it are the beats which with the right pedal sustain sound like depth charges going for a submarine.
