I guess this thread is fit to speak about other genres of bass music. I'm mad into UK Garage and UK Funky at the moment.

This track gets loads of plays from me : Shystie - Pull It (Ill Blu Remix) (note : Ill Blu have put out a single on Hyperdub which is brilliant as well)
IT'S A FUNKY TING RIGHT NOW

UK Garage : El-B - Buck & Bury (this obviously has influenced Burial a whole lot)

The whole Night Slugs compilation is fucking great too. Obviouly it has Wut on it so you can't go wrong with it. But those tracks from Jacques Greene, Kingdom, L-Vis 1990 & T. Williams, etc, fucking slay as well

I played a gig in bratislava yesterday and this dude played there too. after the gig had finished, we had a chat and a cigarette and he told me he was originally from your hometown, Lille.

so i was wondering if you maybe know him?

ahah ! well, at least i'll know what to do if he ever plays lille again (he seems to be playing everywhere but here. though it's good to see some artists from lille getting to play elsewhere obviously... most of the scene here remains local, which is a shame cause there is a lot of talent)
