I'm perfectly calm. I'm not upset at all. If anything, I'm baffled as to why people follow around a chick who looks like the dogs dinner and has the attitude to match. It is the internet, correct! But who said the internet can not contain substance? She may aswell have her own messageboard and have all her minions follow her around with compliments on there. It'd make more sense. Then the rest of us can talk about something without "Hey, I'm cantankerous! *posts pic* This thread now has to be about me! *posts pic* Sexless boys flaunt over me now! *posts pic* How hot do you think I am without me asking? *posts pic* Tell me about me! *posts pic* Did I say my names Cantankerous? *Posts pic* Cantankerous *posts pic* Talk about me! *Posts pic* I'm starve for your attention and I know you'll give it to me! *Posts pics* I'mmm sooo stoned *posts pic*" and something about heroin inbetween there somewhere, when we all know she hasn't even came in contact with anything stronger than grass, if even that. And who said she was entertaining? If you really believe that, turn off your computer and go for a walk or do something else, anything but sitting on your computer. After all, it is only the internet, isn't it. Surely there is better things to do.

This is one of the severe problems that I have with the internet. People on here are still people. In real life, if someone bugs you like this, you don't shun them and start a fight - you just don't indulge in whatever bugs you. If you think someone talks too much, you deal with it. It's rude to say that to their face, because it doesn't hurt anyone. It just bugs you. Online, it's all to easy to slap someone in the face for the smallest inconvenience. That's why forums are full of pointless arguments and debates.

Perhaps that's what the internet is for?
I have only brought this (Cantankerous being annoying) up within the last week or so. I have put up with it since I have been here. If someone in person was carrying on with shit for endless amounts of time, I would say something. Just as I have done in this case. Oh and plus, she's got me on 'ignore', so apparently the slap is then blocked?

I'm not saying that there isn't instigation from both sides, just that this stuff should be carried out in more respectful ways. The internet is not an escape from manners; it's a social network (devoid of oxygen and sunlight as it is.) It's not just this case - it's a constant cycle here, and amongst perfectly likable and agreeable people. People grow to dislike other people, etc., and that's fine. But it just shouldn't keep coming to public remarks. I really don't have a problem with either of you, and when it comes to this it's almost like asking us to make an opinion about an issue that has nothing to do with us.

Norma J is from Australia?
Got any photos of you standing casually on the beach, sun glistening off the sweat beads dotting your chest, blonde hair blowing in the soft breeze, accentuating your lightly tanned skin? Just thought I'd ask. |
