the only eurovision song i know is this!
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jzYzVMcgWhg ha ha ha ha anyway im watching ROME: EMPIRE WITHOUT LIMITS appears to be a BBC thing and the presenter is one MARY BEARD who is amazing! i didn’t know she existed until i saw her in this. all the explanations were great, etc., but i was most jealous of the apparently american archaeologist hunting for carthaginian war shipwrecks IN A FUCKING SUBMARINE. waaaah i want his job. |

Slambang, allow me to be my overbearing self for a moment and ask:
ARE YOU WATCHING THE FINAL SEASON OF THE AMERICANS AND IF NOT WHY? I got a few weeks behind thanks to endless goddamn work, so I’m catching up and WOW HOLY FUCKING WOW. Best show on television without question. Gonna be one hell of a last act. |

Holy shit Legion is so good.
I’ve stoped watching everything except for the Americans, Legion, Westworld and Silicon Valley. Legion is the most intense of them all. But Americans is still the best. |

Americans is not avail on Hulu, or Netflix, and only the latest season is on Sling. dang.
My wife and I are 4 episodes into The Fear, a 4-part series from BBC 2012. About a mob boss that is experiencing alzheimer's related dementia.

just started THE WONDERFUL MRS. MAISEL
which starts great. when i was looking for a picture i found out it had won a peabody award. stars rachel brosnahan who plays a very key prostitute in house of cards if you guys remember. she’s great here! the show is funny. 60s period piece. i wonder if they repurposed the sets from good girls revolt. but this is better. |

I wondered the same thing about Mad Men, and if sets/scenes were repurposed. I think the shows were both shot at some of the same locations, at any rate. Nice glimpse of bosom, too. ‘Twas good. I dissloke the kid who played her husband. He was the nephew on Rescue Me (great, horrifyingly bleak show), and I felt his “Jew” was a little too... ehh.. on the nose? Actually the whole show suffered from mining some Jewish streotypes in ways that made me ever so slightly nervous, but still... The main girl is great, and has a 180° different Energy than on HoC. She can act. |

just in time to kick off the summer season, watched in a very quick way (only 3h total?) the whole of season 3 of RED OAKS.
it was only 6 episodes and it was the last season. not 10 episodes like before. damn, i’m gonna miss this show. still highly recommended for a bit of 80s-throwback summer fun. srsly you’ll want a lemonade or a gin rickey next to you. even though it’s not supertropical or anything. yes yes it’s a comedy and it’s well done. david gordon green and sodherberg at the helm, great directors on every episode and good writing/characters for most of its run. if you don’t mind a bit of spoiler (it’s not a suspense thing after all) here a critical appreciation http://www.vulture.com/2017/11/red-o...ated-show.html ^^ most of what they say is true, yeah. good soundtrack, directors, more than this, etc. |

Decided to finish up a re-watch of GLOW in preparation of season 2 at the end of June.
So good, and to certain degrees, way better than the topic should allow, but what can I say, I'm a fan of prowrestling.
