Seven Sisters

Not many people know that this station wasn't, in fact, built by seven sisters in 1911. Christine James-Paul-Car, a sometime suffragette, was a distant cousin of one the sisters the station takes its name from.

Charing Cross is the place of birth of the first pigeon being brought to a court of justice for purposely shitting profusely on tourists eating their ice cream and random Sunday free gig-goers in Trafalgar Square.

The pigeon in question is named Adam and is said to have shouted ''BUT TOURISTS ARE FUCKING OUTRAGEOUS, MAN!!'' to the judge who prosecuted him.

"Tead" is an old Middle English term for "hillock" or "knobbles on the forehead". The area later that the freehouse was based in later adopted it's name, which was later adapted to Wanstead, as Swan's Tead was deemed "too silly" by the Victorian-era authorities.
