I LOVED this movie when I was a kid. Only child and all. I was frustrated that I couldn’t conjure up a kick-ass imaginary friend I actually believed in. It upset me quite a bit as I recall. Looking back, it doesn’t feel like such a bad thing, as it probably would have indicated child schizophrenia.

Started this last night... had an Amazon gift card balance so I bought the goddamn thing.

Didn’t feel compelled to finish it, and stopped half-way through to watch Halt and Catch Fire, which is free and on Netflix and I can watch whenever. So that’s not a great sign. Less of a great movie. Not great at all. Perhaps not utterly worthless, but wow... decidedly not good.

Not even playing. Bear in mind, this is coming from a guy who has watched and enjoyed Man of Steel several times, and watched BvS twice.

It’s not out for rent yet — won’t be until March. But it’s available to buy in stores and digitally. I had a a day off, a gift card to burn, plus it’s the first-ever movie with Batman OR Superman in it that I haven’t seen on opening weekend in the theaters. So I have been feeling guilty and strangely identify-crisisy about not having seen it.

Now, of course, I wish I’d just waited.

Yeah, Halt and Cartch Fire is all kinds of awesome. Hey isn’t Cameron played by the Replicant prostitute from Blade Runner 2049? Pretty sure she is.

Not really important though, because I’ve yet to see anything that really recommends it. Might not even finish.

Bad guy is ALL CGI. Like... ALL. And it’s bad CGI. Could have put a guy in a helmet and it would have looked better in every way. Instead it’s a CGI stencil of some no-name actor’s face. Wasted opportunities all around.

I hated her at first. Reminded me of one too many ex-girlfriends in far too many ways. But now I like here (on season 4, cuz I’ve been binging)
