![]() i think martin amis might be a far better non-fiction writer than a fiction one. |

Just finished:
![]() Altogether, very good, and made Savannah my top place to visit over the summer. The ending sections felt rushed though. Started last night, already 1/4 finished: ![]()

Finished Less Than Zero. I liked it. Going to pick up American Psycho again. I stopped reading it after about 100 pages because of the verbose nature and it not being in the same break-neck pace as Ellis' other books.

The first 3/4 are excellent if you like murder/court drama and colorful Southern Gothic characters. The last sections of the book are EXTREMELY rushed, it seemed to me. I'd rate it a 7.4/10

I've shelved Badiou's Being and Event for now in favor of returning to some fiction and have picked up A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man.

I'm not trying to avoid philosophy, per se. Treatise reading has left me the teariest.

![]() Enjoying it so far. I like the slow slip into strange fantasy from a seemingly normal world. Everything seems to fit. Nicely written. |

well, the book opens with his death. although I'm only through with a little bit, the book appears to be more about the strange secret life that he left behind (and his death exposed). I argue with his black fascinations, his theories are sound (and not unlike my own). the only difference between magic and science is one's perceived level of understanding in the subject. I say perceived because, finite minds can never truly encapsulate the infinite (and that very well could have killed him). |
