IT Chapter 2. I should have chosen an earlier time simply due to lots of trailers and a 169min movie.

ready or not
not a genius film, but tense and funny at the same time, a good lively cast, and not a remake of anything i can think of (but i’m not a horror expert), so it makes for merry afternoon entertainment, with air conditioning included. plus hugo weaving’s niece is in it hahahaha she does look a little like agent smith. |

With Christian Bale. Was actually better than I expected. Really brought the Bush years back into full focus in my head. PTSD. |

Like a fiddle, indeed. Pretty good. Could have been better, I suppose, but still pretty good. |

if you're into conspiracy theories, you might like this documentary. The way that it is told is not so appealing, but if it's true what they are claiming, then it's quite bizarre.

well, finally managed to make the time
great little movie that’s mostly about intimate stuggles but for some moments flirts with the epic (the bar mitzvah reminds me of the wedding in the deer hunter). otherwise it’s a very 60’s sort of thing, and beautifully done. do not care for the little shithead, but—ah, glenda jackson! |

Ok. The Thing:
Why does an Antarctic research station need a flamethrower? What are they going to burn, snow? Addendum, speaking of author Joseph Campbell, anybody seen A Boy and His Dog? Great movie!

"It really encapsulates the frustration of a Sunday, doesn't it? You wake up in the morning, you've got to read all the Sunday papers, the kids are running round, you've got to mow the lawn, wash the car, and you think "Sunday, bloody Sunday!"."

Why wouldn't an Antarctic research station have a flamethrower?
