I think SY has a lot of rem-like moments, brief though they may be, and that rem for their part has had many sy-like moments. It happens, even though the bands really sound nothing alike. |

That is correct. Legally download. Live in rural community, sometimes easiest way to go about getting new cool music. Was just checking with like minds for ideas, meant no disrespect. |

Pelle being a douchebag again= Not surprising.
Sorry I can't help, but in this thread by Lee Ranaldo himself, you can find some credits that were flagrantly omitted from the liner notes in the CD edition of the album. It's not much, but at least I hope it's something that might interest you: http://www.sonicyouth.com/gossip/showthread.php?t=76300

Well, after listening to it five times, my conclusion is that the record is worth listening if you like easy rock oriented compositions. Honestly, if I weren’t a fan of sonic youth related side projects, I wouldn’t have dared listening to it, because the reviews are quite accurate. Well done, good compositions, but not particulary inspired. It’s entertained me, but I didn-t find it exciting.
By the way, my wife..., whose likes and dislikes are way more extremist than mines (coming from an initial mainstream pop taste... after listening to my record collection, she’s chosen the strangest ones), says that the record is not worth listening, plain. And maybe she’s right, because she’s usually less subjective than me. In addition, I’ve only listened to the japanese CD version, and the sound is quite muffled. I’ll put the vinyl shortly just to know if it’s the digital mix, the sound desk, the physical support, or whatever. |

Muffled sound = Agnello signature, I think. My one disappointment with the album (speaking of the vinyl).

i really dislike his production. i personally think it's horrendous. if the album, or even Eternal, were produced like SY's past albums (washing machine, ATL) the songs would shine even more. |

I agree with the Eternal Drums sounding. But I think sounds were not that bad in Lee´s new. And I think Sear Sound is so great studio that even Agnello could make great sounds to Rather Ripped. But I like also more for example Washing Machine, ATL, Murray and Nurse sounding. |
