I read somewhere that he played some mean rockabilly in his youth. Or was that Roy Orbison? I'm always getting the two mixed up. |

I don't tend to compare yoghurts to, say, Lancashire hot pot. I do, however, tend to compare a bhoona to a phall. It's not really prejedice to observe well-worn linguistic conventions. Yours is the sort of logic that says 'Uh... the guy with the brown eyes, short curly hair' rather than 'the black guy' in a room full of white people.

ok ok, sorry, my bad. big bad indeed - what was I thinking? sometimes english fails me, or I fail at it. whatever the reason...
I had a big thought in my head that I wanted to simply compare some persons mentioned as artists who gained fame for simply doing what they did best - be it writing, playing an instrument, dancing, whatever. and it puzzles me to read stuff such as, "He wasn't great because he was comparable to Dostoevsky or Beethoven (as at one point Cornell suggests)" ...I wonder, why not? is there some sort of moral authority we must abide to, before we draw comparisons of this kind? just curious about it. Oh and before flames ensue, I'd like to express my total respect to demonrail as I totally appreciate his contributes to the board. |

I thought Michael Jackson died as a child in a plane crash or something...
This (the worst tranny Diana Ross impersonator) was found dead next to a pile of coke! |
