had a trial subscription to starz and caught up with american gods season 2

 

still great fun stuff, though i also feel the plot almost ground down to a halt in these episodes. then i find out orlando jones was fired? wtf. what are they gonna do about mr. nancy? shiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttt....

anyway since they don’t have a great repertoire i also saw this stuff:

 

which starts as a sort of girly kitchen confidential, then devolves into a soap opera for millenials with a weird incest subplot.

good thing it was cancelled after 2 seasons. what began as a forgivable indulgence had become quite grating.

yah, free-ish through early january. “working” through a free trial of “starz” right now. the last thing im checking out there is one called “the white queen” which is kinda serious-historical matter (tudors) but also funny, not in a goofy comedy way, but with slightly bizarre chuckleworthy characters, like a warm kind mom who is a totally matter of fact psychopath, or a religious loon that’s always unlucky, a king that’s a bit of a dolt, etc.

re-answering: looked at hobo’s repertoire, decided to wait maybe for spring break, maybe for summer, to get a full month and catch up with stuff.

meanwhile i got 30 days free netflix.

THE WITCHER is entertaining so far. not superoriginal or anything, but a decent refry of fantasy tropes with some lols.

This show Better Things on FX, which for some horrifying reason is a comedy that uses John Lennon’s “Mother” as its intro theme.

Great song, but oh my god so fucking sad I can’t barely stand to sit through the 30 seconds of it that play at the start of every episode.
