I am working on fiberglass egg chair (done with the exterior, now I have to re-cushion the interior), so maybe you can at least have the white chair after that, since I will have to get rid of something. Hope you like MN winter.

We just sold the Plycraft version of the Eames chair at my work two days ago. We get those in sometimes. We have only had one real Eames lounger since I have been there, but I am sure I will see another one. Beyond my budget. I'm not super into those for some reason, though they are incredibly comfortable.

No shame in chrome, no matter the source. Wheely furniture is sweet.
I will say it is good fun working in MCM/ Machine age furniture, even though it is mostly out of my reach. I feel good to have developed that interest when the stuff was cheap or free. It is also fun to see the homes the stuff winds up in. Thanks for the kind words. I really do enjoy living here. |

Metal shelving racks are the only pieces of 'furniture' that I had prior to moving to Austin, two years ago. Everything else is either second-hand or Ikea, and of little permanent relevance. It's a weird type of feeling, as furniture is often the most steadfast of possessions, along with comic books and record collections.
When I do move overseas, in a little under a year, I'll likely have a giant purging. I've already given away my Burning Man bikes and camping gear. Toys, rocks and books...o, my. |

I think I'll remain furnitureless for the foreseable future.
That sofa is pretty amazing, Savage Clone. |

Thanks! That sofa was the thing that got me the job I have now. I went in their store not thinking I was going to do anything but browse, but when I saw that sofa and the drastic markdown on its original price I decided to replace my old black futon. When they delivered it, we got to talking and I have been there every day since. Incredible place to work, and wonderful bosses. Part time in the afternoons, but between this and my morning job I have the best bosses and best jobs I have probably ever had in my life.

Are the ladies turned on by the anatomic-model of their women-parts?

Who am I kidding? The ladies are already soaking wet at the thought of being in 'a real rockstar's house', that it's a wonder they ever notice the manacles and chloroform-soaked rags before it's too late.

When you have manacles, you don't need chloroform. Not to mention that the struggling is much better sans sedatives.

So I got to meet Keith Rowe last night and he signed my 1970 Mainstream pressing of the AMM/MEV split LP "Live Electronic Music Improvised." Super cool to meet him. Got a rare smile out of me. His solo performance was excellent. What a privilege.
