since my computer died i only downloaded the us girls "introducing.." record and that's because i have no other way of listening to it until i get a record player (or until my mom sends mine up here). i prefer to buy the cd or record or tape. i actually hate downloading non rare stuff. |

So last night, along with the gig ticket, I paid £33.50 to Animal Collective. Fun show by the way, they didn't play any of the old stuff though, just from the last two albums. |

interesting... the previous rumor was sub-pop. ad derek, according to reports, they played: slippi (hcti) !! banshee beat (feels) !! and a re-worked winter's love (tongs) !! 3 very good older songs. (not from the last 2 albums)

I bought it on the 12th (it was out then in Europe), I was at 9.30am (when the store opened) in the fucking discstore to get it . It's fantastic
Btw, has anyone heard the new song ? (I call it Blue Sky, though I'm sure it's not the accurate title) It's so awesome, I'm listening to it all the time |

I just put this on. I found it so compelling I left the room, made a cup of tea and came back and it was finished. Astonishingly forgettable, kudos to them.

is it just me or is that song like an odd marriage between a cracka-ass TV On The Radio and 1983 era New Order?

I'm a fan of theirs. It's just a band you know... and people can like them all they want! Your insults are great though I must admit.

I can definitely see the appeal. It just does nothing for me. I may be getting old, I think. The bleep bloops no longer satisfy. I actually like Neil Young's new tune much more.

my original mental image of this track was like, megafly honeys getting off to the bassline, and now that is gone forever |

That song isn't really good. Neil Young is not on good vocal form either.
Anyway, what has disliking Animal Collective got to do with age? Isn't shit meant to be more or less the same colour at all ages? |
