It reads far sadder than the actual situation. I mean it does suck getting dumped but im getting on with it. I just today doubled the dose of my anti-Ds so I think its playing around with my brains.

a very “wet” martini: 2:1 beefeater+noilly prat extra dry
not a fan of this combo, i usually prefer sapphire, in a gibson |

Just had a cup of Sam's Club Ethiopian Yirgacheff coffee. Not as good as the Kroger Ethiopian Yirgacheff, but we don't hit up Kroger as often.

Way too many Mountain Dew Freezes (think Slurpees) from KFC. There's one about a 45-minute walk away, and I've gone there a lot on my morning walk.
$1 each though. I am but a sucker for delicious cold sugar.

2:1 megawet martini: plymouth gin + dolin vermouth de chambéry. lemon twist but no olive.
holy fuck, a revelation! smooth, citrusy, eminently quaffable. my drink for the spring along with whiskey sours. now begins the process of drying it up to see how far i can take it— 3:1 fo sho, 4:1 likely, 5:1......? i haven’t liked 5:1s before but this might cut it plymouth is glorious enough to sip straight, for me at least. what a great fucking balance. pure goodness. beefeeter is still glorious of course but more for salty dogs and the like, where the juniper spine rises through the slushy mix. also limey tonics and summery rickeys. |

Dr. Pepper. I am an addict, a possible side effect of moving to Texas.

Ah Christmas - the one time of the year where rampant alcoholism is ignored and encouraged - pure busman's holiday.
Continuing the off-the-wagon tribulations I've been digging a very hops, sour like tasting lager in the shape of this beast (*insert downward thrusting arrow ere'*) and also Snake dog + Bloodline - at 7.1% abv one can taste the pure alcohol which merely adds to the bittersweet hops. I don't think I'd be able to go back to drinking traditional lagers after this. |
