I tried to watch the full 30 minutes but I just couldn't take it anymore

spent the day working on 2 of the paintings yesterday.
---->isolation.
the only problem with this, is the dreams.
looking more for a job. and by more i mean a>0.
of course no islands for me this year, even though i get tempting offers.
i ll go to that old camping place, its the cheapest.
perhaps i ll spend first, a couple of days doing nothing (painting wise).

Got off work yesterday morning at 0500, went home to pick up my wife and daughter and we headed over to hell which in Houston is also known as the 610 at 290.

 

Teleflora is sponsoring, "Make Someone Smile Week" and my wife is a Greater Houston board member. Two-thousand smiley face cups were arranged and delivered to Houston hospitals and women's shelters.

 

We delivered 100 to Memorial Herman 290 and another 100 to TIRR where my father-in-law overcame West Nile Virus. It was great seeing many of the nurses and therapist that helped my father-in-law. It was heartbreaking to see so many who can no longer walk......how soon I forgot the despair of others.

Take a moment today and be thankful for your good health and ability to walk......it's something we all take for granted!

just wanted to say:

lady with the bra - YES!!!! i love how you've handled her volumes they've grown to be a little abstract sort of like cézanne did. this is the solution after the crashed project, yes?

the face of the dude in the pink ink - yes!!! hadn't seen those from you before.

i can't see the rest unfortunately even as i'm quoting the links. not sure why. maybe my slow internet.

The Russian government claims Ukrainian fighter jets were flying very close to Malaysian Flight 17 when it was shot down. Others claim that Ukrainian fighter jets were escorting the Malaysian plane through Ukrainian airspace.
However, a Youtube video made a month before Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 was shot down alleges that Ukranian fighter jets were hiding behind passenger planes, pulling away temporarily, dropping bombs on Ukrainian separatists, and then hiding again behind the plane (minor corrections of spelling and punctuation):

yeah probably the net. its only those 2 pics.
the crashed project is an entirely different painting.
the pink ink, have done only a couple more like that. looks like the ink marker suits me. it will be nice to mix it with some ink. or use it above some charcoal.

heeey! yes, i know it's a different painting but this one works in ways that the other didn't--- that's i why i believe this one came after. but maybe i'm wrong on the timeline lolol. still, this one works.

re: the marker: i like the hatching. it's a kind of noise rock hatching ha ha-- you know, apparently chaotic, but shaping up to a definite purpose. the way the marks construct the head--particularly the face-- while at the same time it is as if you were scratching it out.

I'm gonna pick up a friend from the train station in about half an hour
and I have a "job interview" at 8.
I'm gonna drink wine after and take out my fancy new sidewalk chalk.

(we will just ignore the fact that I am super sick and I want to chop my ears/head off)

also: only one week til OFF festival. Can't wait to hang out with Slavo and Moshe and Abby&Albert and all the others that come to OFF every year and whom I love so much! Long weekend in the sun with amazing people and good music.

Thanks for the link to that vid. It's something you don't read in the Dutch newspapers. It sounds like a reasonable theory, better than what's said over here that they shot the wrong plane, as if they could not distinguish between a fighter jet and a passenger plane.
I work next to the airport where the planes with the bodies landed today and yesterday and tomorrow probably as well. So everybody had to leave home early to avoid huge traffic jams. But I missed it all as I'm on a business trip in France.

yes, thats right; the bra i started it after the nude back and entirely with oils.
i just have it in mind that i was working on 3 paintings in parallel. few days with the one, few next with the other and so on.
