Yeah, I tried but mine would just restart and get stuck on the "zen touch" screen again. slavo- I'm looking at the iPod, but I adore the Zune. ahhavalon- I have two gigs backed up on the pc.. not sure what I'll do. I've run out of disk space and I'd love a new player right now to get rid of all the music on the pc.

the only way to listen to Spinderland is on vinyl.
your mp3 player knew this, and commited suicide.

i keep all my mp3s on a very large external hard drive, and i move it around among various machines.
you can build yourself one cheap with an enclosure: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...losure&Ntk=all my "mp3 player" is an old laptop jacked to the stereo. i plug the external drive and it's done. sure it's not portable but i've never been convinced by the price of portable mp3 players except for an iriver (flash-based) i bought years ago. i still move files in & out of it, for the day, or trips, or whatever, and i carry an interchangeable ton of mp3s in my laptop... so hm whatever you get it's a good idea to keep a separate repository of your dearest files. |

My ipod died, i got it in 2004, it died in 2005, so i got a replacement one for £50.00 because it was out of its warranty, the one i have now has lasted quite well. (touches wood).

My Dell DJ lasted 4 years and it is still kickin except the headphone jack is messed up a little. I could fix it I guess, but I'm going to give it to a friend and enjoy my new Toshiba.

the same exact thing happened to me, then I did the same exact thing, nut it wouldn't start up. I haven't looked for a reset button though, so maybe it isn't gone yet. |
