I got into the Ramones and most other music that I still like now in about March of 1994...the last time they were in Australia was in January 1994, doh!

Well their later output wasn't too great... But I'd imagine mr. yow's charisma would redeem a lot.

They just seemed uninterested, but could have just been having an off day. I didn't get to see Yow's scrotum at least. |

Fugazi. God I wish I could go back in time and see them. Also the Bad Brains. Those early shows looked so incredible.

Pixies
(Maybe if there's a second reunion tour??) Pavement Guided By Voices Nirvana (May have been slightly possible, but highly unlikely) Weezer (Matt Sharp era) (could have easily seen them in '97 but stupidly chose not to because they were opening for No Doubt) Kyuss At the Drive-in (saw The Mars Volta but they were nowhere near as good)

i thought of one, like i said, i don't regret not going to any of the shows i've missed but this one is a weird situation.
brutal truth on the need to control tour, 1995; my then friend wanted to go, i wasn't very familiar with them but i had the earache sampler called earplugged and they were the standouts for me so i was in favour of going. we actually saw morbid angel at that same venue (a small time wrestling arena in the industrial part of town) a few months back and...i can't remember why we didn't go, i was into it and he was super pumped. i do remember turning down his offer to see obituary there because i thought obituary sucked hard. brutal truth, i can't remember why i didn't go, but i still have the flyer stuck in my room. |

Ed Kuepper performing Honey Steel's Gold for the Don't Look Back tour. He performed at the same venue as SY did when when they did Daydream Nation, except it was a few days earlier. I didn't know about it, I wasn't familiar with his music at the time. I only found out about it when looking at my souvenirs from the SY concert.

The Unicorns - show was in London, and i couldn't be bothered to go, they broke up like 2 months later.
Islands - had tickets but had to go to a funeral instead. Sparklehorse - was in america when they played here. Sparklehorse (again) - had a ticket but forgot about the show. |

Snakefinger (I just missed seeing him!)
Skeleton Crew (same thing) Einsturzende Neubauten at Myrtle Edwards Park in Seattle (I've seen them since, but really was annoyed I couldn't get a ride from school at Bellingham to this show in '85!) Johnny Thunders (never had a specific chance, but always had hoped to see him and then he died) Lords of the New Church/Dead Boys (same story with Stiv Bators) X (in the Billy Zoom days) Ten Minute Warning (legendary Seattle band, just ahead of my time, they reunited and reportedly sucked, but the tapes of their original sound was like Green River but better and more underground) Chrome (when Helios and Damon were both in the band) Flipper (again, I'm talking original, since I'm the right age to have seen them if it'd have worked out) Beat Nigs (Michael Franti's industrial band before Disposable Heroes of Hipocrissy, I was going to see them but they broke up) Sun Ra (I did see him, but was going to see him again the next year and then he died before the show and it was cancelled) |
