The Persian women really take the cake though. Gorgeous eyes. beautiful brunette hair.
(please note that nothing I have said in this thread is sexual in any manner. YOU took it that way. Beauty is where Beauty is.)

Faggotsplaining is too long a word. Besides, I may end up sounding too patronising. Rob, just look at those Indie dicks. Hmmm...juicy.

so many fucking cliches.
you really do think women enjoy having their ethnicity fetichized? dear lord. being a man? whats that? unlike you might have been told, women dont walk around wanting to be objectified by strangers. in fact it makes us feel very uncomfortable not being able to ride a bus or read a book without some creep staring or making comments. appreciate with your mouth shut? this idea of manhood with the need of getting other males to participate in your objetification is whst baffles me. this notion of yours that is natural for every man to want to do that needs to be reassessed.

and if you really must, do it where women wont hear
because frankly its gross unless ur more concerned about getting reassurance of your msnhood from other men than you are about how REAL women feel

OK.
what is patronizing about being attracted to intelligence? patronizing would be telling someone they are intelligent when all the while you are actually feeling superior to their intelligence. How do you read that in my statement? Understanding your perspective is one thing, but you assign specific intent to my perspective, without attempting to understand it either. I call shenanigans on that bullshit.

basic lesson:
white people don't get to decide when someone has the right to feel something is racist or not men don't get to decide when someone has the right to feel something is sexist or not straight people don't get to decide when someone has the right to feel something is homophobic or not I hope you get it, it's very simple. Also, I've already explained everything in detail. Please read again. 'Intent' is not always what matters, especially when we're talking about things that are deeply embedded in us. One time I said something that offended someone on this forum, regarding their origin. It wasn't my intent at all to insult anyone in any way. However, this person was nice enough to express their feelings to me. What I felt didn't matter, I wasn't in their shoes. I was wrong, I'm still ashamed about it and I'm thankful that this person told me off. Only this person knows what it feels and regardless of my 'intent', I have no right to tell a person how to feel.

all you say is indeed simple and well and good and TRUE.
However, just because someone feels something is racist does not make it so. Just because someone feels something is sexist, or homophobic, does not make it so. Freedom of speech is freedom of ideas, even ugly, repugnant ones.

I do understand the usual knee jerk reaction to what I'm saying, as it forces people to reassess their own notions of masculinity. However, saying "don't make women feel disrespected in a space you share with them" is fairly simple. I don't even want to get started on the racial/ethnicity thing because it'll get me angry. Just remember there are places in the world where women and their "ethinicity" are objectified to a point it creates a predatory industry of sex tourism and human trafficking. This should be enough for you to think.
What you think is a compliment may not be seen as one.

It kind of does. When people claim that, chances are it's true. I'm tired of debating this neoliberal idea of "freedom of speech" that overrides that idea of "freedom of dignity". It's wrong. Freedom of speech is not freedom to be an asshole and get away with it. However, if you think freedom means you have the right to say repugnant things, then I shall have the right to tell you how repugnant they are.

And it's sort of something you'd wanna keep to yourself, considering how fine that line is and how easily people could get insulted.

I agree knox, but reassessing masculinity and femininity is a lot different from denying their existence.
The same way that a homosexual man should not be forced to explain why he is attracted to a male, a heterosexual man should not be forced to explain why he feels attracted to a female. These things are chemical, or biological, or whatever they are. The sex industries and the human trafficking happen because of MONEY, pure and simple, and will continue to happen regardless of the enlightened mentality of any given country. That is sick as fuck, but the sick are out there, and willing to make a buck off of the suffering of anyone. Look at the Savile fucker and all his satanic sex cronies. To lump in a man who finds a certain look on a female attractive with those who seek to pay money to engage in their perversions is a bit of a stretch. in answer to your statement about compliments, What you think is derogatory may not be seen as that by a different woman. That does not mean that woman is dumb, or ignorant, or unenlightened, or brainwashed. It just meas that opinions differ. I try to keep everyone in mind when I write on the SYforum, and only seek to offend those who like surf music...
