Yeah, I remembered both bands had some sort of ''famous'' connection of some kind (The Teen's obvioulsy having a Fag Some More in their line up). You couldn't move for bands with the adjective 'Imperial' in my time.

"Bettie Serveert are a Dutch indie-rock band. Their name translates to "Bettie Serves," and is taken from a Dutch television program, hosted by Dutch tennis player Bettie Stöve, who made it to the Wimbledon Ladies singles final in 1977." That's the most 90s indie band thing I've ever read.

who said god is my co-pilot? are we hearing the same band there, because from what i have heard by them, they are one of the best punk bands, and certainly the weirdest punk bands of the 90s. experimental post hardcore with experimentalist and avant jazz leanings, and excecuted perfectly. theyre music was always wild and sexual, and their live performances were nutso. jad fair, zorn, and everyones favorite japanese eccentric noise punk band melt banana are fans. man, i fucking love this band. just picked up some rare 12 inch of theirs, it has like a wierd colorful zig zag art cover with no name or title, the only reason i knew it was them was the dude working the counter was a fan. anyways, it rules. dont see how someone could not at least think this band is cool, but to each thier own.
god is my co pilot with yellow teeth band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xw_ENRPJ3ig

Cecil. Jocasta. Symposium. Midget. Tampasm. Whatever. Lovenut.
That mid-late-90's-Evening-Session vein is certainly a rich one... |

I'm guessing you're a very similar age to me if you remember all them. Fluffy, Brassy, Period Pains, Stony Sleep (still think their second record is amazing), Bis and that great period when Chemikal Underground decided to do amazing records rather than rubbish ones. Ah, nostalgia. Was it Midget that did that Mum's gone to Iceland record?

Nah, that was the equally-excerable Bennet
I've got a gig-only Cecil/Jocasta split promo 7" that I've never actually listened to yet hang onto because it's probably shit-rare and might actually be worth 25p to some deluded fool with arse-end-of-Britpop rose-tinted glasses in a few decades time... Honeycrack. Cay. China Drum. Kerbdog. The Llama Farmers. Fungus. Rialto. A. Just about everyone that appeared on any of those Fierce Panda doublepacks. |

I'm undecided about Dawn Of The Replicants 'cause they had a couple of tunes that I liked. AC Acoustics |

You beat me to Rialto. I was going to say them. Easily the worst band to have two drummers in ever I think. |
