I was just zinging here and there, since generally most of your posts on the Sonic Youth section seem critical of the band, in one way or another. I find that to be discorteous of you, since their forum gives you a chance to post your work and promote it more than anyone else I have encountered on here.

I don't slag 'em off at all, I really love all their albums aside from Nurse and Rather Ripped and Dirty. But everything else, all SYR's and EP's and singles and outtakes and bootlegs, and a lot of the side projects, are quite good. I'm still going to tell everyone that Free Kitten is the worst thing I've ever heard, though (aside from Mars Volta and the Markers).

I'm sure not even Thurston enjoys everything his band has put out. Hell, he'd probably agree with me on some of the stuff I say, who knows. All that matters is, at the end of the day, I still enjoy them a lot. Even though I don't listen to them very much anymore -- I don't need to, I have all those records memorized!

Well, your posts about Sonic Youth generally don't leave me with much of an impression that you're even a fan, so you can take the stick and enjoy the self-promotion. I'm beginning to think that perhaps if it wasn't for SY, the Coley Enterprise & Co. wouldn't be as popular. Also, how many other bands Thurston Moore likes and has written about that don't use their forum as much as you do for self-promotion?

Can't say I've listened to a full album in a while, though, but that kind of attention I only give to a handful of bands at a time.

It's gotten you radio play though. I've played you and Year of the Lips. Both good projects in my estimation (I'm more into Robe. than Scissor Shock, but that doesn't particularly prove anything).

I listened to The Eternal a couple times through driving back to Portland from Olympia today.
