I don't know their music enough but I liked what I've heard. I never got the big deal about their mystique. It's not like they saved the world or anything.

i've always found them interesting in their marrying together a sort of sixties counter-culture thing, and punk. Saying that, I've also thought they brought together the most annoying aspects of both: earnestness, dogmatism and an over obsession with that whole gettin' back to basics thing.

Crass is really fucking great. Most anarcho punk annoys the shit out of me, but I'll never be able to deny Crass.

As far as the whole Crass records scene is concerned, the only band I still give a shit about is Rudimentary Peni. Their first three or four releases are really fucking amazing and really one of the only bands I still listen to consistantly from that time period.

Discharge flat out sucks. Disclose does Discharge better than Discharge and thats sad.
