might add, in today's giant sprawl, "downtown" refers to the uban core itself, and while there is no proper "uptown", there are the suburbs. so its no longer downtown vs. uptown inside the city but more of a downtown vs. suburbia.

ironically downtown means what uptown used to mean.
the term comes from the medieval ages, the castles were built on high ground and uptown was used to describe the part of town next to the castle in between fortified walls and downtown used to describe the lowest part of town out of fortified walls. |

the drugstore on flagler still has the best grilled cheese.
i think the fiesta was just a few days ago, because my facebook updates included "seaside fiesta LOLOLOL AWESOME!!!" and crap like that. ugh. but maybe it was something in port orange?
