I might be able to shout at some Bristol promoters or do an incredibly inept job myself if you're in need of a hand. Also if you need a support group for said city (etc etc).

OK, another date confirmed- Newcastle, 13th August, with Culver and Jazzfinger
Still beavering away on this Bristol date- and Cardiff if it comes off- it would be tempting fate to say more! |

I managed to wangle my way to supporting them on the 18th and then it was pointed out that it's a very important birthday that night that I would be strung alive if I missed it, which basically means that not only am I not supporting the mighty Ashtray, I'm also not going to get to see them in my home town. How very, very rubbish.

That's well guff. If it's any consoloation, they aren't playing in Cardiff and I can't make the Bristol gig because I will be in Greenman festival which, although I'm sure will provide mucho fun, doesn't have the best lineup in the world.

Right, managed to finalise the whole shebang, took some time but we got there.
I only realised we're running up against Green Man last week. Nads. Well, anyone who hasn't got a ticket, come and commiserate with us in style. I agree Iain, that the Green Man lineup looks a little- samey. There just isn't anything to get really worked up about, still, I'm sure there will be some moments to be had. I hope some of you Bristolians will make it along to London if you can't get to the Cube.. It would be cruel to tell you, but I think the A Band might be playing the Bristol date too. Yipes! And A Brighton/Hove date has been sorted out, at the Greenhouse Effect. See my original post for all the details. |

Argh...I'll miss the A Band! Bum! Oh well, it wasn't to be this time. The Greenman lineup isn't amazing but I am looking forward to a few things (Six Organs, Bill Callaghan) and it should be an ace time, especially if the rains hold off. |
