Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woollen mittens Brown paper packages tied up with string, These are a few of my favorite things. Cream coloured ponies and crisp apple strudel, Watching pornography and playing with my doodle, Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings, These are a few of my favorite things. Girls in white dresses and blue satin sashes, Paying a hooker to give me a hundred lashes, Silver white win-ters that melt into spring, These are a few of my favorite things, When the dog bites, When the bee stings, When I'm feeling sad, I simply remember my favorite things, And then I don't feel, so bad.... |

RE: COLTRANE
Yep. Gotta love this guy. My cuz has recently put me onto Alice Coltrane. Very nice. RE: NICK CAVE Recently there was an exhibition here in Melbourne of a bunch of his personal stuff like pictures, notes, costumes and the like. As I'm walking through, I come across one of his old diaries from the early 80's. In one entry (a Thursday, I believe) all he had written was: "Hand in Dole form" At that moment I felt such a powerful connection to this guy... |
