Bettie Serveert --> named after dutch female tennis player Bettie Stove
LUL --> "Lui Uit Leeuwarden" --> people from the city Leeuwarden. Lul = dick in English (I actually don't even know their music)

I was always under the impression that what Brits call pavement, Yanks call Sidewalk. Hence it being obsequious. Or is that what you're saying?
