i am not saying it's nocive to like them. that's what the others think.
we think that it's nocive because we don't like it.
that's not fair at all.
it's like when people talking shit about madonna's 80-ish era. i think it's ridiculous. it's amazing to dance and sing to at new year's eve, but that's MY opinion because I wasn't even born when those songs by madonna were being played in every radio station and made sense for EVERYONE , EVERYWHERE. it's all about the context.

Well, I still get paid every year by my former boss in Olympia to head up there for NYE and dust off the Madonna discs, so I know exactly what you are talking about, and I thank you. Mind, when those Madonna songs were new, Sonic Youth were playing them at their noisiest of shows, and people thought they were being ironic. But they weren't exactly.

Their first album came out in 1996. That was 5 years after I graduated High school, and the year I got married so I was 23 years old.
