They decided to work in Dinosaur Jr.'s J Mascis' Bisquiteen studio (the top floor in J's Amherst house actually) where Dino did their Beyond album. This worked out very nicely as it allowed Thurston to yell down the stairs every time he needed a shredding guitar solo and J would trundle up, plug in and BURN.

I've always pictured this as Mascis eating cereal while watching his soaps on the ground floor, hearing T's call once, hearing T's call twice, going, "Oh shit, right, Thurston's up there", pushing the pause button, going up the stairs and kerrang.

So does this mean Apple TV has, exclusively, "the rights" to bring Desolation Center to us? That would suck DONKEYDONGS. Like when you gotta have a cellphone plan with a certain carrier in order to access a pre-sale to a concert. Unless the film gets a wider "online release" later, this is fucked up and as un-punk as it gets.
