Usually when I pick one up (it has to be heads up), if I'm trying to get laid or score drugs that night, it works. After that, it's back to the usual bad luck though.

The other night I found one on the way to a tarot reading and I didn't get laid, but that might have been too much mystical energies hitting each other in the face.
