Agreed. Not to slam T but Lee is fucking crazy. I was constantly getting blown away on every song once I started to really pay attention to the left side. He's fucking insane. |

The realest music can come from anywhere. Street musicians are usually hoping to make a buck, too. And just because someone might intend on making coin off music, doesn't always mean the music is any less "real" or "honest". Clapton, though, is just silly. Sure he's done a lot to promote a lot of blues and shit...but as a guitar player, just so bland. Not very diverse (even within the scheme of blues) at all. Listen to him cover Jimi, and then listen to Jimi cover him....Jimi totally rewrote Sunshine of your Love (which, Clapton didn't write, but most assume he did). Clapton attempting to cover Jimi is just hilarious. His playing always sounds forced, and at times unnatural. It's obvious he's spent a lot of time practicing...which, I know Jimi did too, but Jimi never really sounds like it. He pretty much sounds as if he were born able to play guitar. Very few do. Jimi, no doubt, was something beyond special as a musician. He did like Clapton...which, doesn't mean much. He liked Dylan, too...who many appreciate but I feel was a fraud that wrote a few OK songs. Funny story...Clapton met Jimi on stage. Jimi's manager made an arrangement for them to jam on some of Clapton's songs. Mid act, Clapton walked off stage during one of his one songs because he was unable to keep up with Jimi. Of course, this fact alone doesn't mean Clapton sucks...but as someone that loves Jimi and has little (again, "little" because I do enjoy Cream sometimes) time for Clapton, I find the story hilarious.

I just can't respect a 25 year junkie who through his addled addiction and neglect lets his baby boy crawl out on a balcony and fall to his death from 20+ stories up. Fucker should be in jail for that. Instead he did more H for a few years, only getting clean a couple years ago. Fuck clapton

Considerably older than that. It's not a Clapton or a Cream riff.

That was just time and place...and very common amongst electric blues players. It was about putting on a good show.
