I bought the Australian pressings of the A B C 7"s of the Saboteurs, as the name had to be changed to the Raconteurs here these are already rare. I don not like the band much but purchased these for investment reasons.
Sonicl - buy half a dozen bottles of the 07 penfolds grange hermitage for 2k and sell them for 100k in 20 years. |

Sometimes I may buy an album in vinyl that I already have on CD just because I want a more "permanent" copy. You know, something to pass on to the kids one day. But I'm no collector. If I want "workless" money, I'll invest in the stock market.

I buy new editions of DVDs when they come out.
Plus, I'm big on completism. I try to get all albums by an artist.

I never buy music purely for it's rareness or limited pressing. If I like it, sure.
I don't own two copies of the same record either. |

If I come across a limited edition album for the same price or only a little more than the regular issue, I'll buy it... why not? But I won't go out of my way to look for it.

I've never bought anything for collectability....Though I buy pretty much any Square game before the PS2 came out.. and any Treasure game.. to play but ALSO to collect..
