I like some other songs better, but there are definitley nice touches in many of them!
p.s. I'm still a bit bothered by the panning vocals in poison arrow

I want some Anti-Orgasm.
Though I think it will be either Sacred Trickster or What We Know (which is fine for me as well...) |

Although Id like more of a surprise it will probably be sacred trickster tonight. Id love to be proven wrong with a performance of antenna or anti-orgasm, THURSTON, ARE YOU LISTENING?

I feel the same way. In some aspects I feel like Poison Arrow is their "strongest" track in years (oddly enough, perhaps in part due to some youtube video some guy from French Canada made (and everytime I hear that dischordant part of the song, I think of hot, dark-complexioned tree-trimmers swinging from branches of pollarded street trees)), but I don't think it's my "favorite" on the album ("Calming the Snake," "Leaky Lifeboat," etc. coming in as strong contenders). As far as the panning vocals, I felt kind of the same, but have decided to err on the side of "genious." As far as studio expertise that's pretty basic; but get stoned and imagine their faces moving back and forth like two large moons (on an exotic planet that has two moons [think the Dark Crystal] (and not in unison--more like a person's hands while they're doing the "Charleston")) over a sea of churning guitars, all the while taunting you with "Who? Who?? Who???" Like Whack-a-mole in your ears.

Sacred Trickster.
Damnit, Letterman already has his copy. I feel like I'm going to be last person in the world to get a copy. Stupid Matador. :P |

Altogether a solid performance. I like the little effect two-footy thing Thurston does during the song.
