as far as music is concerned, misfits beat the crap out of fugazi.
as far as fans go, i haven't really met fugazi fans but most of misfits "fans" (meaning people with devilocks, mascara and crimson ghost shirts 5 sizes too small who otherwise would be listening to panic at the disco and can't name the singer in the misfits) are horrid and retarded.

not that fugazi are bad, far from it, it's just that i can't help but think how rites of spring and minor threat were 100000000 times better.

I never really liked Minor Threat.
I am still surprised that they wound up being one of the more enduring bands of their era.

I like them, actually. I like a lot of that 80s hardcore stuff, actually. I actually do.

I notice very few ped mall rats in Fugazi T-shirts. On the other hand, quite a few of them wear Misfits T-shirts. This is all I need.

Never understood the fuss over Misfits.

Fugazi were very good though.

Minor Threat weren't the best 80's hardcore band but better than most.

my introduction to minor threat was a live video, and they have no comparison live, almost all punk bands pail onstage, flag included.

Misfits are more of a gimick and image than anything really worth listening to. Other musicians who do covers of Misfits songs actually do justice to the songs more so than the Misfits actually do. The Papa M acoustic cover of last Carress, and Refused cover of Bullet, are cool. I also think it's lame they have Misfits shoes etc out that are sold at major 'teen' stores. They lose points with me big time for that.

Agreed completely on Fugazi, one of my favourite bands of all-time.

I like the Misfits, but they gross me out now with all the bullshit around them...

Static Age (by the Misfits) is an amazing album. One of my favourite punk albums ever. If you're undecided about the Misfits check this one out.
