this is BY FAR the best bergman film in my opinion... sadly it's pretty forgotten/ignored... but hey, godard called it his favorite bergman film ...

i have a dvd-rip of it with english subs... if you or anyone else wants to see it i could send it through some p2p program...
I haven't seen that one. Did he do it for Swedish television? Unfortunately I'm still using dial-up, so a P2P would take way too long to download, even if it could over the 'phone.

I think that's everything that's in print here in the U.S.

Adddition: I was wrong. Saraband is now available here. I'll have it soon.
Saraband is a great watch and easily found at any video store. A must see, if you haven't seen it yet.

nope, not for tv... it's from 51 and stars maj-britt nilsson. she didn't go on to become one of those ultra-regulars that bergman used in his movies... but she did like 3 or 4 with him...

I finally got Saraband today, four months too late. I should have been paying attention. I'll watch it within the next few days or so.

ah, so great to have constant bergman fans in this board.

i'd beg for that dvd-rip, except that i am cursed with cellular internet/ slightly faster than modem except when it cuts you off & your arm rots. no...

anyway i'll console myself with what greencine has to offer while i wait for my inheritance to arrive (and thank you immensely)
