I love Syd era PF, and The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn is one of my favourite albums, but A Saucerful Of Secrets has some very good stuff on it - Jugband Blues, Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun. And I like The Wall as well, but not Dark Side Of The Moon.

besides the obviously orgasmic "great gig in the sky", these are roger waters's neuroses at his best-- his fear of going mad, his obsession with stuff, etc, which finally explode rotten in the wall. but here are better.

anyway, i am plastered on whiskey sours. oh sweet sweet lemons. i juiced 10 of them and poured the 101 proof booze. good times.

nope, i have cheated death on several occasions. you live more than once. the trick is not to die.

keep your booze in the fridge (sounds like a foul drink anyway) and stay alive, so you have a story to tell.

i dont mean to encourage your debauchery but if your body can smell bacon without a reaction your liver should be alright.

i hate to quote cliches but "the nose knows"-- if you're attuned to your instincts (addicts aren't) you'll know what you're supposed to do. feel your body for signals of wrongness.

ps-- did they give you a timeline or something? chronic diseases differ from acute ones. i am only familiar with acute liver situations. like, going to france and trying to devour all the terrines in a day.

by the way i had this truffled pâté for lunch today which is proof of the fine condition of my liver. my mouth was so happy i had a grin of satisfaction that lasted almost an hour.

ps the yellow eye is because your sick liver doesn't process bilirubin (sp?). so it backs up. if you're not jaundiced this indicates it's hurray time.

of course there are chronic conditions. they stay barely below the surface waiting to pounce.

i feel pretty normal now, i don't think i'll be suffering any repercussions. the thought of alcohol made me nauseous 3 weeks ago.
