Looking at the posters that Franz posted - movie posters coming out these days are so generic and boring.
The films in the 70s were really unusual. It was an age when "gritty" filmmaking was popular and the studios gave big budgets to films about "real life". The Vietnam war was still lingering on. The hippies didn't accomplish much. There was such a feeling of ennui and hopelessness. Far too many of my favorite films are from the 70s to post them here.
