even lame as Marilyn Manson called it out,
"a pill to make you numb a pill to make you dumb a pill to make you anybody else.. but all the drugs in this world, wont save you from yourself." live healthy, be alive, dont kill your spirit with soul-numbing so-called medications [though ironically, even in Amharic, the language of Ethiopia, the term for medicine has a positive and dangerous conotation as well, I wonder why we cant just linguistically make these distinctions and call one "drugs" and the other "medicine."

I only study a little bit, the day before or on the day of the exam. I don't stress out like other people who spend weeks studying. I also try to forget about the exam, and do something else like play guitar or read a book. My studying habits haven't made me do poorly in my exams, I usually do quite well.

I don't do shit. I learn it all the first time, and just study a bit, if at all, to reinforce what I know. No stress for me.
The only stress I have in regards to school is AP tests, and getting all my work done. It isn't that it is difficult, there is just so much, and one slip up can fuck you over (and by fuck you over, I mean to the standards to straight A's).

People, don't stress out over exams, just relax that way you can recover more from your memory.

I'm used to huge exams-I study medicine in Italy (I remember I announced here my admission years ago...) and everyone is obsessed with theory, rather than practice... so it happens you waste you ass over exams for 6 years after that you know a lot about receptors, trasduction of signals, electrophysiology of ass'hair etc. while you can't almost measure blood pressure... it's a weird system.
I ve had exams which needed a preparation time of 3-3.5 months. it ends you breakdowm and it's really impossible to remember anything. now I compress a lot the studying time, reading/mentally repeating/sketching a fast scheme/rationalising. I'm very anxious in general (ask my girlfriend), but it happens I'm apparentely quiete for an exam while I dump all my tension over other relationships. I turn cynical and very acid, this is no good. Running is the best way to breath the stress out. using pills is for assholes. What pills would you take when you will have job interviews? or before your wedding (or any other "nervous" day) or after losing a job? I dont want to have a huge fibrotic liver at 40... nah... |

Prepare yourself for failure, or even better, consciously decide to fail beforehand.

I still have the classic nightmare: I show up in class and everybody but me is prepared for the final exam. I take one look at the questions and can tell immediately that I don't know anything on the test. I wake in a cold sweat. I have it about twice a year.
