I prefer the anonymity of living in a 'mega city' (in my case London) and the ability to avoid certain people that share it with you, by virtue of its sheer size.
I'd quite happily leave London, but only for another megatropolis - NYC, Berlin, Paris, etc. EDIT: Looking at the list of cities by population, it appears that London isn't a Mega City at all but a 'very big' one. I feel humbled. |

i much prefer smaller cities. I chose the large town category.
Growing up in Atlanta, the move to a smaller city was tough at first, but now I wouldn't even think about trading it in for another big city. |

Small town where the land and air are plentiful. And the neighbors sparse. The stars bright.

uh.. large town seems.. well 50k to 499k?
that is a jump. there has got to be a few more steps involved with this. It probably depends on your region. An area with 40k people could be a metropolis in some places and a village in another. Not trying to be nit-picky but it seems like a drastic leap. In the long run i'll probably be a 400k city type but I'm sure I'll hit just about every one of those spots along the way.

It's funny seeing 50,000 being considered a small city. The town I live in consists of two citys because they're so close and every thing and between the two there are about 20,000 people and it's pretty bustling.
