Finally some news from Martin on their forum:
Martin Atlas Sound Vs Broadcast at ATP Minehead The band are still working on the new disk, and it's coming along very nicely, but Trish and James took a little time out to join Atlas Sound for their set at this weekend's ATP show. They played the Atlas Sound set with James on electronic manipulation and Trish adding treated vocals, the three of them played a version of Corporeal towards the end of the set. Just a small snippet of news for you. Cheerio Martin [Edited by Martin on May 19, 2008 at 11:44 AM] |

Yeah, I wish that instead of DJing and mucking about with other people they'd just tour more and be slightly more prolific. |

Yeah, live they rock out in their own peculiar way. I also like the fact that they can play the songs similarly to they the way they sound on record and still add some nice touches. The Pixies for example were always really shit at doing something similar live.

I saw them live a few weeks ago. It was a really weird-o drone-y set with only two "normal" songs that I noticed thrown in (Black Cat and Corporeal.)
I really like what they're doing live now, but the mini-album with The Focus Group and the new EP are kinda boring. |

I've been following these guys since the 90's and saw them play in NYC a couple weeks ago. They opened with a 20+ minute experimental piece playing to a video, I thought it was very ballsy to do that at CMJ, they could have just played the hits, it was very aggressive and intense. Sounds like they've been listening to a lot of electronic and experimental stuff. The new album is very diffrerent than their previous stuff, it is much more free than structured pop. I didn't like it on first listen but now I find it a very rich and compelling aural treat, and plays nicely with the tour only CDr they were selling.
