Guitar World is off and on good. Every once in a while they will have a good article. Just recently they put out an entire issue devoted to Nirvana. It was pretty good. I still got the feeling they are just whore's who will kiss the ass of whatever rock band is famous for the time being. In their June 2005 issue they did a large story on the "punk revival" scene of New Jersey featuring My Chemical Romance, Thursday and Saves the Day. Let me just say that these bands are a great dissapointment to the name "punk". I really dont like any of those bands. I dont think they have anything to offer me. I also think that it's a shame that so many young people who only got into punk rock got into it through these bands. It's a shame.

But then again, they will most likely fade away with time, whereas Sonic Youth, Flaming Lips, Beck and all these other truely daring, creative artists will live on and continue to inspire.
