Jack - When nobody wanted to play with Jack on the playground.
Beverly Hills Ninja - When Chris Farley was so excited and eager, yet didn't receive a "ninja medal" like the rest of his peers. |

WHen I was wicked young Phenomenon and Powder, both lame, made me weep.
Mystic River made me cry, Im not even a big fan of that flick either but fuckin a Tim Robbins performance is breathtaking. Touch of Evil made me cry. I don't know why, but I really sympathized with Quinlan.

I found myself getting a bit choked up at the end of Blue Velvet...
I think it's the music, combined with how overwhelmingly positive the outcome of the story is.

bill murrey in the submarine with sigur ros (and I don't like sigur ros much at all, it's his face)
when the guy with bullet wounds to the stomach dies (uh spoiler eh?) in saving private ryan (and I don't like spielberg much at all) Lots of beautifully shot scenes make me almost cry, like the body in the river scene (won't say more) in sympathy for mr.vengeance. Generally I found that I tend to cry not for properly "sad" things, but rather for scenes depicting situations where things happen and there's a sense of hopelessness (is this a word?), when there's no chance to revert events bah I can't explain this better. I cry or something like that even with "nice looking" framing/scenes etc bah bah blah boring I am.

This sounds Aldo Raine-ish "Ladri di Biciclette" . PSH is an amazing actor.

well, it's got some very sad shit happening, and he goes through the buddhist hell of disease/old age/death while trying to run away from it. i suppose i found it funny because it reminded us to much of this friend we have, so it was like watching his cartoon. |
