Does Hallmark make a "Congratulations on your first arrest!" card? Because you're totally getting one if they do.

Companies make inquires of their prospective employees regarding felony convictions, not misdemeanor charges.
Although I agree with what most of what you expressed to the fascists-in-training, the line you crossed was when you started talking about how they should all be exterminated. When the police showed up to break up the ruckus, they may have talked to someone else on the scene and/or involved who told them that you used words like that & thus, they took you away instead of just letting you go on your way. |

I'm on the phone. Story will have to wait. Doesn't get much more exciting.

I should note that I wasn't some kind of bad-ass activist in this exchange. It was just an awkward, disruptive incident that fucked up my schedule. I'm only irritated because it was someone else infringing upon MY course of behavior, and I paid a price for it.

While I won't get into the finer points of the issue, I hate people who get in your face and give you reasons to believe what they do when you don't want to hear them, and then expect you not to hate their guts afterwards. In reality they're just making greater enemies out of the ones they already have and making themselves look like idiots. It baffles me as to why they would consider themselves to be supporting their cause. They must realize it completely destroys any shred of credibility. Perhaps they were pro-choicers trying to spur on pro-choicers and reignite the flame? That would make way more sense to me.

Now if one will excuse me I have a quota to meet:
The self is made by projection and introjection, to have a self is to have enemies, & to be a self is to be at war. To abolish war is to abolish the self. War is The Hunt perverted. The problem is not the war, but the perversion, the skewed perception. The perversion is repression; war is sex perverted. As in Blake: "War is Energy Enslav'd." The war to end war is total war; to have no more enemies, or self, Consummatum est. As in Christ: "I bring not Peace, but a Sword," for peace lies in finding the true war, a reconciliation of opposites. The heiroglyph for war is Atlachinolli, "Burning Water," effusion et atdeur; a hemorrhage, a blossoming war. The identitiy of peace & war, of Zen & Ken, is the unification of the opposites in wars of love. For a more vernacular explanation, please read: http://www.aikidoschools.com/terrydobsonstory/ |

That fucking sucks. I mean, if you had to go through the trouble of getting arrested, it would have been nice if you could have at least given one of those fucks a broken nose. Stupid religious bullshit. |

The reason why no one has named the nerd is that it should be obvious. Here's a clue: he's a pirate thief.

These days it's not really feasible & is definitely not advisable to "sue the city" or whatever, although it sounds to me as if truncated, in my opinion, without knowing all the particulars of the facts from the incident, is entitled to compensation (that of course she cannot possibly hope to receive which only serves to add insult to injury) for the whole thing. If the city is going to allow assemblies of that nature that actively engage passers-by then the city is liable or should at least make assurances that through actual due process (you know, that stuff we pay taxes for & rarely receive) that the individuals who were a catalyst to the whole thing (the people that approached truncated initially) are held responsible.

I've never been arrested. My parents would get so pissed, even if it was a false arrest or something.
