Fai enough. It makes me laugh more than anything else in existence, so that just goes to show that it takes all sorts, eh?
But I'm still flabbergasted.

lee was the straight man, herring was whatever you call the one that isn't the straight man is called. i can't believe half the people who made the list over these two, i mean joe pasquale & bradley walsh? anyway, for this glaring ommision i leave my ballot blank! |

I once had Stewart Lee stood behind me bleating on about Pink Floyd while I was trying to watch Yo La Tengo. For that alone, they're not included. And they're not funny. As for Pasquale & Walsh? Have you not seen Corrie and The Price Is Right? Their pairing may have been brief, but being apart can't hold them back. |

joe pasquale has a reputation for stealing jokes from small time comedians. he allegedly employs people to go out and watch lesser known comedians and write down all their jokes, he then incorporates what he finds suitable into his act.
anyway, stewart lee is one of the best stand ups i've ever seen, if not the best. i've never seen another comedian with such a grasp of what makes humour work as he does. |

He didn't steal the squeaky voice did he? Couldn't knock Bradley Walsh though could you? You're not related to Stewart Lee are you? |

Chris morris or Armando iannucci are even better than Stewart Lee and in a way scarier if such a thing can be said about comedy.Stewart Lee is definately one of the nicest men who ever worked here at the National.

The early shows, and the Smell of Reeves and Mortimer, I love (especially the docu thing in the nightclub). And I liked Catterick a lot too - thought it kept getting better as the series went on. But Shooting Stars and that recent sketch show leave me cold. They're both very funny though especially Bob.

Victoria Wood and Julie Walters. An excellent double act for those of us approaching our pipe and slippers age.
